The Litle Princess Trust - Claire Wichbold

"My hair last haircut was in January 2020 before the pandemic. It's now time to get it cut, but it's being cut for a special purpose. My grey hair will be dyed a lovely shade of brown before being cut off to be used for wig-making for the Little Princess Trust.

It's going to be a public haircut at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts in Hereford, which is where I work as Fundraising Manager. The date and time is 2pm on Tuesday 22 February 2022, and my 'hairdresser' is going to be Ian Archer, the Chief Executive of the Courtyard!

The Little Princess Trust charity say about their work: "When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families"".

Action on Addiction - Jonathon Nicholls

I am so grateful for all the messages of support and sponsorship for my London Marathon efforts. At the time of writing the total raised for my chosen charity is £1214, 80% of my £1500 target! I am glad to say training is well underway after having to take some time out due to illness. I had been running up to 10 miles and hope to get back to this level (and a bit more!) soon. Fortunately for me the marathon was postponed due to the pandemic, originally planned for April it will now be on Sunday 2nd October 2022 so this gives me plenty of time to build on my training thus far. If you would like to follow my training please find me on Strava, Facebook or Instagram where I post regular updates. Thank you again for your support and generosity, I am very grateful to the Belmont congregation and community. If you would like to donate or read a bit more about my chosen charity ‘Action on Addiction’ please head to my justgiving page.
