TASTE AND TALK: Is now meeting on the First and third Thursdays of the month. This means the next meeting is on Thursday, 21st May, 10.30am to 12.00noon in the Parish Centre. We will be continuing to watch and then discuss series 5 of the popular series "The Chosen".
St. Benedict poses a fundamental and thought-provoking question to those aspiring to enter a monastery: “Is he genuinely in pursuit of God?” (“Quaerere Deum”, Chapter 58 of the Rule) Enquiring candidates must deeply reflect on their intentions and motivations for seeking a monastic life. It challenges them to examine whether their commitment is rooted in a sincere longing for spiritual growth and divine connection, or superficial desires or personal ambitions. By posing this question, St. Benedict encourages candidates to consider the depth of their faith and the authenticity of their journey toward a closer relationship with God.
