In Luke 24 we see two disciples walking the road to Emmaus, heavy with confusion, dejection and sorrow after Jesus’ crucifixion. They don’t realise it at first, but the risen Christ has walked with them – listening to their concerns, questions, explaining Scripture, and ultimately revealing Himself in the breaking of bread.
